Granda Liturgical Arts
The chalices, ciboria and patens made by Talleres de Arte Granda are crafted from solid sterling silver, with either a silver or gold-plated finish. A few of the simpler models are crafted from brass, with either a silver or gold-plated finish. The cup interiors that touch the Blessed Sacrament are always plated in gold. The patens are brass, plated with gold, unless otherwise noted.
Many of the chalices are based on historic models from the Romanesque, Gothic, Renaissance, Baroque or Rococo period. Some models have vitreous enamel medallions; these are hand-painted with glass powder onto copper and kiln-fired multiple times. Customized medallions are available for an additional cost.
The price of each chalice includes a gold-plated scale paten and a locking, velvet-lined carrying case. An additional paten costs $125. A paten with a depressed well in the center may be requested for chalices with a cup diameter of 4.25 inches or more. All ciboria and patens come with a cloth storage bag.
An inscription can be engraved on the bottom of any chalice or ciborium for an additional cost of $100.
