Granda Liturgical Arts
Talleres de Arte Granda employs designers, carpenters, sculptors and painters who are able to create church furnishings, including altars, ambos, pulpits, canopies, reredoses, baptismal fonts, aumbries, shrines, pedestals and niches, rails and grilles, chairs and choir stalls, pews and confessionals.
Talleres de Arte Granda has extensive portfolios of designs for furnishings in a variety of Classical, Gothic, Baroque, and Modern styles. These are considered custom items by nature; all of them can be modified to sizes, designs, materials and colors appropriate to their architectural setting. Completely original designs are always possible.
The altars of sacrifice, as the most important works of liturgical art, merit special attention, and are always made according to the highest standards of beauty, material dignity, and liturgical law. Ambos are available to match the design and materials of any altar.
Reredoses or retablos are a company specialty, and may be built as part of an altarpiece or shrine, to house a tabernacle, or to occupy the wall behind a freestanding altar. These incorporate the three arts of sculpture, painting, and architecture in a beautiful display of iconography.
The designers of Talleres de Arte Granda will consider the construction of any ecclesiastical furnishing or architectural element, and collaborate with architects and contractors for complete interior design or renovation projects.
