Granda Liturgical Arts
Granda is pleased to present Rinascimento, a classical collection of liturgical appointments designed by Mr. Duncan Stroik and crafted by our workshops in Madrid. Inspired by the aesthetic ideals of the Renaissance, Mr. Stroik designed a tempietto style tabernacle, candlesticks, altar cross, a sanctuary lamp, as well as a chalice and a paten.
Widely renowned as one of the leading architects of the new classical movement in the United States, Mr. Stroik’s involvement in the new renaissance of sacred architecture has led to the formation of the Society for Catholic Liturgy and of the journal Sacred Architecture. Considered to be one of the foremost educators and practitioners in sacred architecture today, Mr. Stroik believes that a revival of sacred architecture is central to any true renaissance of architecture and civil society.
We are delighted to collaborate with Mr. Stroik in offering the Rinascimento Collection to our clients in the United States and abroad. Please do not hesitate to contact our office for information about pricing and a variety of options for stones, fine metals, and design details.
“Rinascimento is the Italian word for Renaissance or rebirth. Today we are witnessing a renaissance of sacred art and architecture in the United States and elsewhere. I believe this is the artistic corollary to Bl. John Paul II’s call for a New Springtime in the Church, a time in which the arts can flourish by reconnecting to the rich patrimony of sacred architecture. In the Church’s history there is a continuous need for renewal and rebirth. In the history of the arts as well there have been a series of renaissances and I believe we are seeing one today.”
